Zoomlion Worksite Selector — Tell Us Your Job-Site

Five minutes of questions, three machine recommendations, one site service plan — from subdivision earthworks to bridge precast lifts.

Six site types, six starter packages

Each card pairs the pain points we hear from contractors with a Zoomlion machine mix you can refine with an advisor.

Subdivision Earthworks (5–15 acre)

Soft pads, utility trenches and frequent machine moves without oversizing iron for a small cut/fill balance.

Starter package

20–30 t crawler excavator + tandem roller + compact loader for backfill and trench spoils.

Highway Repaving (5–30 km)

Mat temperature, compaction force and night-shift noise limits dominate the paving train schedule.

Starter package

Asphalt paver + material transfer vehicle + dual tandem rollers + asphalt distributor.

Quarry Expansion (Greenfield)

Feed size, jaw opening and discharge opening must match crusher throughput before haul trucks arrive.

Starter package

Jaw + cone + screen line with excavators, rigid haulers and a drill jumbo for face development.

Bridge Precast Lift

Single-span lifts of 80–150 t need clear load charts, outrigger mats and tandem-lift procedures.

Starter package

250–650 t crawler crane + lifting beams + Zoomlion advisor support for ASME B30 style lift plans.

Urban Demolition (≤ 12-story)

High-reach envelopes, dust suppression and shear selection decide whether the city allows daytime cycles.

Starter package

High-reach excavator + hydraulic shear + dust-suppression bowser staged on the perimeter.

Underground Tunnel (1–3 km drift)

Rotary drilling torque, bit life and ventilation constraints limit how fast the face advances each shift.

Starter package

Jumbo drill + bit kits + ventilation support equipment sized to drift cross-section.

Selection trade-off: crawler vs wheeled excavator

A core industry dispute from procurement shortlists — we present both sides before recommending a Zoomlion package.

Crawler excavator

Lower ground pressure suits soft pads and deep digs; stability helps heavy breakout force cycles. Trade-off: trailer moves between paved urban blocks add cost and time.

Wheeled excavator

Self-propelled road transfers cut lowboy dependency on city streets and frequent site hops. Trade-off: poorer flotation on mud and less stability for deep trench digs versus crawler undercarriage.

Limits we disclose: wheeled units are a poor fit for deep quarry faces; crawler units are overkill if your only work is short paved utility repairs under 5 km apart.
